Do I have to be a member to open an account?
The Credit Union is a mutual financial services organisation and as such is owned by its members, each one of whom is a shareholder. Part of the account-opening process is to become a member. Learn more about the benefits of membership. ^
How much do I need to deposit to open an account?
To open your membership with Encompass, we require adults to pay $10 for the 'shares' ($2 for children under the age of 18, then $8 to be paid upon their 18th birthday). The $10 shares are refundable if you resign your membership. There are no minimum account balance requirements with your Encompass savings accounts. ^
How do I make deposits to my account?
- direct credit of payroll or other income;
- transfer from another savings or transaction account;
- Internet or telephone banking transfer;
- over the counter at our Branches;
- over the counter at any National Australia Bank office using your Encompass Credit Union issued personalised deposit book; or
- at any of over 3,100 Bank@Post outlets Australia wide.

Statements are issued every six months or as requested.
