Do I have to be an Encompass member to take out a card?
Encompass Credit Union is a mutual financial services organisation and as such is owned by its members, each one of whom is a shareholder. Therefore anyone, including non-members may apply for an Encompass Visa Credit Card. However if approved you must become a member of the Credit Union. Learn about the benefits of membership. ^
How much can I borrow?
The maximum amount you can borrow for the Encompass Visa Credit Card is limited to $30,000 or by your ability to meet your repayments. ^
How is the interest calculated on my Visa Credit Card?
Interest is calculated on the daily balance and charged monthly. ^
How long do I have to repay my balance?
Our Visa Card is a continous credit contract which means as you pay it back on a monthly basis you can redraw on it. Repayments are based 3% of the closing balance for the end of each statement or $25, whichever is greatest^
How do I make repayments to my Visa Credit Card?
You can arrange to make your card repayments either by payroll deduction, Periodical Payment from your savings or transaction account within Encompass, Internet or Ready Phone banking transfer or at any one of our Branches.^
How often will I receive information on my account?
Statements are produced monthly. Duplicate statements can be requested at any time from our Branches or by contacting our Call Centre on 13 13 61.
Account Balances and Statements are also available through our Internet and Ready Phone banking services. ^
What security is required to take out an Encompass Visa Credit Card?
No security is required.
